August 5, 2020 13:07 NYDT – A blast from a fertilizer, known as Ammonium Nitrate, rocked Beirut this morning with explosions that killed at least 100 people. Portions of the old city are in ruins despite a 15-year long civil war that did not ravage it.

The last war in Lebanon was in 2006 between Israel and Hezbollah, the Iranian-backed militant group committed to the destruction of Israel. And the 15-year long battle did not cause significant damage to historical sites the way this latest slip up did, involving flammable fertilizer on Tuesday.
The image below shows silos filled with grain damaged by Tuesday’s blast. According to the New York Times, one million people were struggling financially before the blast due to Coronavirus complications; resulting in 500,000 children struggling with not having 3 square meals a day.

We have sent our prayers up to Heaven to the Lord Jesus Christ, the King of kings, in request for comfort and strength to fill the people of Beirut who are hurting right now because of the careless neglect of folks ‘doing business as usual’.
